Babar, the grumpy smurf! He holds a special place in our hearts! He was surrendered to a kill shelter in his prime, and we pulled him immediately. He came to us with ear, eye, and skin issues. Babar then got adopted, but was returned again because the older dog in the house did not like him. Babar is so kind. He likes other dogs, and he is especially fond of cats – they are his best friends. We think he was a cat in a past life! He loves squeaky toys, and if you adopt him he will share them with you! He is a social butterfly, but when he gets tired, he wants to meditate in peace! He is clean, and housebroken, and loves to snuggle on the couch and bed! He loves doggy baths and doggy massages. He feels being pampered is numero uno, and he will pamper you with love and kisses in return! We know that Babar’s person is out there for him, and he would do well in a quiet home with another cat! Not likely you’d hear that, right?
Babar has a cool and collected sense of self. He does have a mild thyroid condition which causes problems with his fur, and it would be resolved a lot more quickly if he was in home with you! All Babar needs is one little pill a day! He thinks he’s like a chia…we think he is a delicate bud waiting to bloom! He is a bit older, approximately 8 years of age, but as the story of Babar depicts, “he has lived among men and learned much.” Babar is a wise fellow waiting to meet you!
